our matcha
where it begins
At Tea Stories we believe that every cup tells a story — of place, craft and care. Our matcha begins in the lush tea fields of Wazuka, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan—one of the most celebrated regions for high-quality green tea.

Since 2018, we have been sourcing our matcha directly from a small tea farm in Wazuka, with no middlemen. This close, transparent partnership allows us to work directly with the producers who share our values of quality, sustainability, and respect for tradition.
Their care for the land and dedication to artisanal tea-making mirror our own philosophy at Tea Stories — to create products that nourish both body and soul.

ceremonial grade
samidori matcha
Our matcha is stone-ground in small batches, ensuring a fine texture, vivid colour, and smooth, creamy taste — never bitter or grainy.
Samidori is known for its smooth, balanced and slightly sweet flavour with a creamy texture. It’s elegant, easy to drink, and ideal for daily enjoyment or matcha lattes. Think gentle umami and soft sweetness.

ceremonial grade
gokou matcha
Gokou, on the other hand, is a richer, more intense and full-bodied matcha. It has a deeper umami, rounder flavour, and a more vibrant green colour — perfect for those who prefer a strong, premium ceremonial taste.

for latte and everyday rituals
premium matcha
Our daily favorite — smooth, bright, and versatile. Perfect for lattes, iced matcha, or everyday rituals. This grade balances gentle umami and sweetness, offering a true taste of high-quality Wazuka matcha at an approachable level.

The Tea Stories Way
passion and quality
At Tea Stories, our goal is to bring authentic, nourishing tea experiences to our community — drinks that taste incredible, but also carry a story of craftsmanship and care.
By sourcing directly from Wazuka since 2018, we ensure every tin of matcha we use — whether in your latte, dessert, or whisked bowl — comes from people who pour their hearts into every leaf.
